Sahara Energy Field Limited, a subsidiary of Asharami Energy holds a 35% stake in CI-500. The block is operated by Petroci (the national oil company of Cote d’Ivoire), is located within the Abidjan Margin in Cote d’Ivoire. CI-500 covers an area of 162.59 sqkm and has water depth between 0 – 100m. Past exploration activities completed by the partners include seismic acquisition and processing, seismic inversion, integrated data Interpretation, and geochemistry studies.

The block is in close proximity to two producing fields, the Lion field (Oil/Gas) and the Panthere field (Gas). The partners are working to drill the first exploration well on the block as part of the work program obligation. Exploration opportunities on the block have a high geological chance of success.
